Carla Chase
Carla lives amongst nature and 3 generations of her family in Paw Paw, MI, at her farm called CanDo Acres. Along with 3 horses, 3 cats, and 2 dogs, a flock of ducks and a donkey, she also shares her space with 3 sheep and 40 Alpacas, who graciously contribute their warm 'sweaters' (in the form of fiber) once each year. That fiber is lovingly sorted, picked, cleaned and prepared into yarns and rovings for others to crochet, knit, weave, spin, or felt. Carla herself also creates with her farm fibers through crochet and other handmade processes.

Wendy VanderVeen
Growing up in rural southwest Michigan instilled in Wendy a great love of nature that is evidenced in her photography and crafts. From a young age, her family taught her to respect and find beauty everywhere in the natural world. As a teen, she took photography classes, and also worked for many years at a professional photography studio. Though she embarked upon a degree and subsequent career in the field of Interior Design, her love for travel, animals and nature continued to create opportunities to carry her camera always, in order to capture it. Aside from photography, Wendy enjoys gardening, sewing and crafting with her family, who can often be found needle felting together around the kitchen table of their home near her childhood home, Birdsong Meadow. More information about her art and photography can be found at theCatandtheCrow.com
